My Story
Khadija Bentajar, a Moroccan artist. Was born in Essaouira, Morocco in 1970, at the age of 16 she moved to Marrakesh to study Fine Arts where she got her degree and started her career as an arts teacher, a career that lasted for 30 years in which Bentajar explored her artistic expression with different styles ranging from the abstract to a contemporary version of the colorful memories she has from when she was a young girl. Her paintings were displayed in multiple galleries around the world, known for her cheerful depiction of her once upon a time private view on life, everyone is invited to explore a festive life in the streets of Mogador of colors, dance and music, fragmented by time and reanimated Bentajar’s brush.
